The Boston Bruins have been dominant as of late and look like they could keep Boston’s championship streak alive.

The Boston Bruins have been on an absolute tear as of late. A 14 game points streak is nothing to scoff at. Right now Boston is one of the hottest teams in the NHL.

Somehow no matter what is thrown in their way, Boston manages to win. The team has had to deal with a ton of injuries this season, impacting some important players.

More from Chowder and Champions

Boston’s latest injury hit arguably their most important player. David Pastrnak has been out with a thumb injury and has just started to skate. The Bruins may be without him for a month.

That is what makes this points streak even more impressive. They have done it without their top scorer.

Boston has finally been able to get some quality goaltending as well. Tuukka Rask and Jaroslav Halak have been playing great. If the Bruins want to be succesful in the playoffs they will need these guys to stand on their head.

The Bruins made some decent moves at the trade deadline to bolster their depth. Charlie Coyle and Marcus Johansson should be some quality top 9 forwards. Johansson was even able to get an assist in his first game with Boston.

It looks like the Bruins will be a quality team in the Eastern Conference. The Tampa Bay Lightning are on a whole other level, but Boston has a chance to prove themselves on Thursday.

Tampa Bay comes to Boston and we will see how close the Bruins are to the No.1 team in the NHL this season.

Still, the Bruins will definitely be entering the Stanley Cup playoffs with momentum on their side and when David Pastrnak comes back it will be interesting to see what the team will be able to do.
