One of the New England Patriots weakest positions is wide receiver and the team appears to be looking for solutions in the draft. The Patriots have a visit scheduled with Arizona State wideout N’Keal Harry.

It doesn’t take a football genius to realize that the New England Patriots have some concerning roster issues. One of the most concerning positions is wide receiver.

Right now you have Julian Edelman and that’s about it. Josh Gordon is your de facto No.2 receiver but he has proven he can’t be relied upon to play a full season. Without Gordon, Phillip Dorsett is 2nd on the depth chart.

It appears that the New England Patriots realize that they need to upgrade at wide receiver. They are having multiple pre-draft visits with prospects who play the position. One of the latest visits is N’Keal Harry.

Harry was dominant at Arizona State. He started as a freshman and ended his collegiate career with 213 catches, 2,889 yards, and 22 touchdowns. Harry stood out from the crowd last season racking up a career-high 9 touchdowns.

I think that Harry would be a great pick for the Patriots because even though he may not have explosive speed, he has great hands. He is also a physical wide receiver. If you throw a jump ball Harry’s way, there is a good chance he makes the catch.

With the departure of Rob Gronkowski the Patriots don’t have a vertical threat. They need someone they know will come down with the ball no matter what.

I would expect Harry to be drafted in the 2nd round. The Patriots would probably have to move up in order to acquire him or hope he somehow falls to them.

If the Patriots were able to land Harry, Tom Brady would be one happy quarterback who will finally get the receiving help that he needs.
