With the loss of Rob Gronkowski’s enormous personality it seemed like the bland old New England Patriots were returning, but when Chase Winovich was drafted a lightning rod was added to the team.

Rob Gronkowski was the anomaly. He seemed to be the only member of the New England Patriots who didn’t sound like a robot. His interviews were  a must watch event and he was a fan favorite.

But now Rob Gronkowski is gone. The tight end retired this offseason leaving a humongous hole in New England’s offense.

Gronkowski also leaves a hole in the locker room. He was one of the more vocal players on the team. Who could fill such a hole?

Well there is one guy who seems up to the challenge. The New England Patriots 3rd round pick, Chase Winovich.

Winovich and Gronk share some similarities. When they are on the field they look like they could roll over anyone. It seemed like no one could tackle Gronk, and Winovich could get by any offensive lineman.

The duo also plays the game like they are children. Rob Gronkowski seemed like a kid in a grown man’s body while Winovich reacts like every sack is his first one ever.

Finally these guys aren’t afraid to actually be a human being. After receiving the call that he was drafted by the Patriots, Winovich looked like he was going to run through a brick wall. Good Morning Football also named Winovich the player with the biggest personality in the entire NFL Draft.

If Winovich performs well he will definitely be a fan favorite. I’m pretty sure Gillette Stadium will erupt when he gets his first sack.

Chase Winovich loves the New England Patriots and if he plays well, the New England Patriots and their fans will love him right back.
