Boston Celtics rumors: Admiral Schofield built for Boston
By Sam Minton
The Boston Celtics worked out Admiral Schofield on Monday and it seems like he was built to play in Boston.
The Boston Celtics brought in some players for workouts on Monday and there is one guy that you should definitely be paying attention to. Admiral Schofield would be a great addition to the team.
Schofield spent 4 years at Tennessee. In his final season he averaged 16.5 points and 6.1 assists a game. His performance earned him All-SEC honors.

When you look at Schofield you may confuse him for a linebacker. He stands at 6’6″ 241 pounds.
But Schofield doesn’t rely on his muscle. He is a quality shooter as well. Last season he had a field goal percentage of 47.4 and a 3 point percentage of 41.8.
There’s an easy comparison you can make when watching Schofield. He is similar to Semi Ojeleye. Both are muscular and are quality defenders. It would be fun to see both of these guys in the weight room.
If the Celtics were to pick Schofield it would be with one of their later 1st round picks. He could even fall to the 2nd round if not selected by Boston.
I think that Schofield would be a great depth selection for Boston. He is a great defender which the Celtics could definitely use. Imagine a Marcus Smart and Schofield defensive duo? They would tear up some of the league’s best offensive weapons.
Schofield would also fit well in a Brad Stevens system. Since Schofield is already a great defender, Stevens can focus on improving other areas of his game.
Imagine if Schofield can improve his ball handling and get better at driving to the hoop? He would be almost unstoppable due to his strength and size.
It may not be the flashiest pick but there is definitely some value in selecting Admiral Schofield.
