Jakobi Meyers has stunned players, coaches, and fans. Now it appears that the New England Patriots have a log jam at wide receiver.

The New England Patriots have a knack for finding talent that the rest of the league has given up on or has passed over. The team has done that once again this offseason.

Wide receiver looked to be one of the Patriots weaker positions this season. It looked like New England would have Julian Edelman and a whole bunch of mediocre receivers.

Now it seems like the Patriots have some great receivers in the pipeline. Braxton Berrios has had a solid camp and rookie N’Keal Harry is looking like he can be a major part of the passing game.

Also we can’t forget about veterans like Demaryius Thomas and Josh Gordon. Thomas will start the season on the PUP list and Gordon recently applied for reinstatement to the league.

Then there is the curious case of Jakobi Meyers. The wide receiver was undrafted but has already made a big impact in New England.

Meyers has become Tom Brady’s favorite target. For a while Meyers had the most targets and was constantly connecting with the QB. They started the offseason 7-7 and didn’t drop a pass thrown his way from Brady until joint practices with the Detroit Lions this week.

Gaining Tom Brady’s trust isn’t an easy thing to do. The fact that Meyers was able to do this in such a quick fashion proves how talented he is.

It also helps that Meyers is extremely athletic. Multiple times this offseason he has risen up over defenders to make some amazing catches.

So now the New England Patriots will have some tough decisions to make. They can’t keep everyone on the roster.

But it looks like Jakobi Meyers will become yet another undrafted rookie to make the New England Patriots 53 man roster. The question is how big of an impact will he have?
