New England Patriots: Team standing behind Josh Gordon
By Sam Minton
The New England Patriots are still waiting to see what Josh Gordon’s status for the 2019 season will be, but they are firmly standing behind the wide receiver.
The curious case of Josh Gordon gets more and more interesting by the day. For now all the New England Patriots can do is wait.
Gordon is waiting for Roger Goodell to make a decision on whether the wide receiver will be able to play this season. If the NFL wants to fix all the bad PR they received this offseason, reinstating Gordon would be a step in the right direction.

The Patriots could definitely use Gordon. The deep threat duo of Gordon and N’Keal Harry could cause a lot of damage to opposing defense’s. Combine that with the greatness of Tom Brady and you could have one of the best offense’s in the NFL.
Even though Gordon isn’t with the team currently the team is sticking by the wide receiver. His teammates are hoping to see him back on the field soon enough.
New England’s wide receivers are definitely pulling for Gordon. Just look at the response from Phillip Dorsett. It appears that Dorsett and Gordon got pretty close last season.
"“It definitely would mean a lot to him, because I know it means a lot to him to just play football,” receiver Phillip Dorsett said. “I was definitely close to him. I just hope he gets himself right. That’s my main concern — just him as a human being. I don’t really care about the football thing. I just want to see him be healthy in his mind, his body and spirit.”“I just want to let him know we’re all thinking about him, and we want his best interests moving forward,” he said."
I’m glad to see how much New England cares about Gordon. It seems like the team genuinely cares about his well being both on and off the field.
We saw how big of an impact Gordon can have. Last season he was one of the Patriots best wide receivers. Gordon had 40 catches for 720 yards and 3 touchdowns. What makes this even more impressive is that he did all of this in only 11 games.
So hopefully before the regular season starts we will see Josh Gordon on the field. Fans and players alike are itching to see what the receiver can do in his 2nd year with the team.
