The New England Patriots kick off their season on Sunday night and there is the potential for some amazing performances.

Finally, Football is back. Soon enough we will be watching the New England Patriots reveal their 6th Super Bowl banner and begin their campaign towards a 7th Super Bowl. Man is it great to be a Patriots fan.

The New England Patriots begin their season against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Week 1 could end in a blowout. The Steelers are no longer one of the top teams in the AFC.

The Steelers are now without Antonio Brown and their defense is not as ferocious as it once was. There is a strong chance that the Steelers completely miss the playoffs.

This means that the Patriots have a great chance to start the season on the right foot. You always like to be 1-0 after Week 1. If not, panic and doubt can sometimes start to set in amongst players and the fanbase.

Now I am expecting some great games from guys like Tom Brady and Julian Edelman. They are proven players who know how to take advantage of poor teams.

But I think New England Patriots fans may end up being surprised by some players. There are a lot of new players who could make an impact right away.

So there will definitely be plenty of great performances on Sunday night, but here are 3 bold predictions for the New England Patriots season opener.
