Danton Heinen isn’t having an amazing season but Boston Bruins fans need to lay off of the talented winger.

When it comes to Boston Bruins fans we are an interesting fanbase. Just like all fanbases, there is some good and some bad.

A group of fans always is hating on certain players. It finally seems like people are laying off Tuukka Rask, and Torey Krug ingratiated himself to fans with his amazing hit in the Stanley Cup Finals.

But one player is still getting plenty of hate, Danton Heinen. Quite frankly I have no idea why.

Heinen definitely hasn’t gotten off to an amazing start, but he is one of the Bruins best players right now. On a team that is dominated by David Pastrnak, Brad Marchand, and Patrice Bergeron, Heinen is one of the few players to provide scoring.

It may not be much but Heinen is still the 5th best scorer on the roster. He’s also tied with Patrice Bergeron for the 3rd most goals on the roster.

Still, fans are saying that he isn’t playing well and wondering if he belongs in the starting lineup. He sure does pal.

Heinen does all the dirty work while also being a decent goal scorer. It’s not like he is scoring 30 or 40 goals a season but you can expect Heinen to snag 20-25 goals a year. Getting that from your 3rd liner is pretty impressive.

If Heinen continues to be a  top scorer on the team he could have one of the best seasons of his career. So fans need to lay off of him as he has been one of the more productive players on the roster.

Charlie McAvoy will pay off. dark. Next

One day Boston Bruins fans will appreciate Danton Heinen for what he brings to the team. If Tuukka Rask can do it anyone can.
