Josh Gordon is no longer on the New England Patriots and he seems to be taking some shots at Tom Brady.

It was sad to see Josh Gordon leave the New England Patriots. He became a fan favorite and was a talented wide receiver.

The move left a lot of fans scratching their heads. New England isn’t exactly stacked at wide receiver. There is Julian Edelman and then quite the drop off.

Gordon played in his first game as a member of the Seattle Seahawks on Monday night. He didn’t make a big impact but his team was able to defeat the San Francisco 49ers.

It seems like Gordon loves working with his new QB Russell Wilson. So much so that he is taking shots at the greatest quarterback of all time.

"“Seems like in this part of my career, I’m trending upwards in quarterbacks,” Gordon told host and longtime NFL reporter John Clayton."

I almost spit out my coffee and I wasn’t even drinking any. How on Earth could Gordon be trending upwards? It is literally impossible.

Tom Brady is at the top of the mountain. He is the Mount Everest of the NFL. Wilson is more like Mount St.Helens. Brady is in a whole other galaxy.

Brady is without a doubt the greatest quarterback of all time. He has 6 Super Bowl rings, 73,050 passing yards, and 531 touchdowns.

Now I understand that Wilson is a great quarterback. He is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL today.

Wilson is a dual threat. When the pocket collapses he is able to make some magic on the ground to extend plays or gain some yards himself.

So Josh Gordon might need to take it down a notch. There’s a possibility that Wilson retires before Brady does. Being a mobile QB doesn’t lend itself to a long NFL career.

I’m sure these comments will be added to the laundry list of bulletin board material that has been provided this season. But it probably stings a bit more because Josh Gordon was in the Patriots locker room just a few weeks ago.

Next. Patriots still looking up at Ravens, 49ers. dark

Gordon’s comments just show how quickly things can change in the NFL.
