Boston Celtics: Team avoided major Kemba Walker scare
By Sam Minton
There was a scary moment during Friday night’s Boston Celtics game but it seems like Kemba Walker and the team avoided a serious problem.
You never like to see a player go down with an injury. When the stretcher comes out you fear for the worst. Boston Celtics fans were put through the emotional ringer on Friday night.
Near the end of the 2nd quarter Kemba Walker collided with Semi Ojeleye (whose body looks like it was cut from marble) and Walker went down hard.

Sadly, Walker didn’t pop up and walk it off. He stayed on the ground for a while before eventually being stretchered off the court.
Thankfully test results came back and Walker rejoined the team.
Losing Walker for a long period of time wouldn’t be fun. He has been such a delight to watch. Especially after dealing with Kyrie Irving last season.
Walker can dominate games but also doesn’t rely on having the ball every single trip down the court.
He has openly admitted that he doesn’t want to be the main guy the team relies upon for scoring. Walker is a team player and the Celtics thrive in a team-oriented style of play.
This season Walker has done everything the Celtics have asked of him. So far this season he has averaged 21.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game. Sounds like Walker will be headed to another All-Star game.
The good thing is that Walker should be back soon but I wouldn’t be surprised if he missed a game or two just to be on the safe side and let him rest.
But this definitely could have been much worse for Kemba Walker and the Boston Celtics. We are glad to see that it looks like he will be back on the court in no time.
