Taylor Hall is now a member of the Arizona Coyotes, but it seemed like the Boston Bruins had a chance to acquire the talented forward.

The Boston Bruins have needed a star to supplement the trio of David Pastrnak, Patrice Bergeron, and Brad Marchand. Taylor Hall was a chance to make Boston’s top six the best in the NHL.

But sadly for Bruins fans, the dream was shattered on Monday night. Hall was officially traded to the Arizona Coyotes who are building quite the squad.

Now there is no doubt that the Boston Bruins would have had to pay quite the price to acquire him. Hall is a top player in the NHL.

In Hall’s last complete season he dominated. He won a Hart Trophy and tallied 39 goals and 54 assists.

If the Bruins acquired Hall they would be almost impossible to beat. Boston would also score a boatload of goals.

After Hall was traded, Joe Haggerty tweeted what it would have cost the Bruins to get Hall.

Now that might seem like a lot for someone who could leave at the end of the season but I think the Bruins have ways to convince him to stay.

If the Bruins acquired Hall they would immediately be front runners for the Stanley Cup (if they aren’t already). I think if Boston gets Hall his first championship he would definitely want to stay.

Also, Boston has a knack for getting players to sign team-friendly deals. Just look at the deal they got David Pastrnak to sign. They have the best scorer in the NHL for little to nothing.

Now the Bruins would be giving up a lot of prospects, I wouldn’t care about losing Zach Senyshyn. The biggest loss would be Urho Vaakanainen.

But if the Boston Bruins acquired Taylor Hall I don’t see a scenario where they wouldn’t be lifting the Stanley Cup at the end of the season. Boston still has a great chance to go far in the playoffs but they still need some help.
