New England Patriots Rumors: Jacoby Brissett should make a return
By Sam Minton
The New England Patriots will be in need of a quarterback soon and with Jacoby Brissett already having experience he would be a decent replacement for Tom Brady.
This season has been interesting for the New England Patriots. They are still Super Bowl favorites but some uncertainty is in the air.
With how Tom Brady’s extension is set up he is set to become a free agent. Something that hasn’t happened yet in his career. Brady will have complete control of what team he plays for.

Also, there’s a chance that Brady retires at the end of the season. He doesn’t have anything yet to prove. He is without a doubt the best quarterback to play the game.
So the Patriots need to have a backup plan. They need someone who can take over the reins of New England’s offense.
I don’t know if you can trust a quarterback coming out of college to perform at even half the level of Tom Brady. If New England wants to be even close to succesful they need an experienced QB. Who better than someone who already knows the offense?
We have seen Jacoby Brissett blossom into a starting quarterback. A return to New England could be in store for Brissett.
The Colts and Brissett signed a 2-year extension before the start of the season, but it hasn’t been a fun one for Indy. The team is 7-8 and will be playing for nothing in Week 17.
If Brissett wants to start winning games again he could come back to New England. The Colts and New England have made trades before and right now Indy are sellers.
Brissett showed promise in the few games he played for the Patriots. Having a scrambler for a quarterback would be a nice change of pace.
So don’t be surprised if Jacoby Brissett makes a return to the New England Patriots in 2020.
