Kemba Walker was ejected from Wednesday night’s game and the Boston Celtics President of Basketball Ops Danny Ainge believes the officials made a mistake.

The Boston Celtics lost to the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night, but that isn’t the story that everyone is talking about.

With just under 6 minutes left in the 3rd quarter, Kemba Walker ran into LaMarcus Aldridge while playing defense. Aldridge was setting a pick, but he definitely put some extra weight behind it.

When the ball went out of play Walker was not pleased. He voiced his displeasure and received a technical foul.

Now if the story stopped there it would be a normal night in the NBA, but things got even more interesting.

Almost immediately after Walker received his first technical he got another one and was ejected from the game. It was the first time he had ever been ejected from a game.

Now it must have been something serious if Walker was ejected so quickly right? Nope, it was just for using profanity.

I’m sorry but you have to be tougher than that. This is the NBA, not a local high school game.

Now the official who ejected Kemba isn’t as experienced as most. This is his first year being in the NBA.

It seems that Danny Ainge is one of the many people who didn’t agree with the call.

"“I thought it was quick. I thought that the official reacted emotionally and too quickly,” said Ainge. “Kemba got up and was frustrated without the call [against the Spurs]. He cursed at the official, but it seemed almost as if he was cursing and the cursing was not finished yet when he got the first T.“And then [Scott] should have just turned and walked away, and then if Kemba comes after him continually, then I understand it. But it just seemed so quick, the second technical and the ejection.”"

Now I don’t think that this had a major effect on the outcome of the game. At the time of the ejection, the Spurs were up by 7, but losing Kemba Walker is a big blow. He is one of the Celtics’ best players.

This has led to the Celtics announcing that they will be protesting the call so Walker doesn’t lose out on any money due to being ejected.

There is no doubt that Kemba Walker didn’t deserve to be ejected and it is nice to see Danny Ainge defend his player.
