New England Patriots: Vic Beasley could replace Kyle Van Noy
By Sam Minton
Kyle Van Noy is most likely heading to high paying pastures so Vic Beasley could be a great replacement for the New England Patriots linebacker.
The New England Patriots are heading into an interesting offseason. The team could be undergoing a lot of changes most notably at the quarterback position (Even though after that Hulu commercial I’m pretty sure Tom Brady is staying.)
New England could lose some major pieces such as Kyle Van Noy and Joe Thuney. But the Patriots might have already found their replacement for Van Noy.

The Atlanta Falcons announced that Vic Beasley would not be returning to the team. Looking at his stats this move is questionable to say the least.
Beasley had a stellar start to his career. He racked up over 15 sacks in 2016. Since then Beasley has come down to Earth with last season being his best in a while with 8 sacks and 42 tackles.
Now Beasley wouldn’t be cheap. The last contract he signed was his rookie deal. One would have to think his value has gone up. Beasley had a base salary of over 12 million this season
But New England can promise him a chance to be on the right side of history. Who can forget the Falcons blowing a 28-3 lead?
Hopefully, with the promise of being Super Bowl contenders, Beasley will take a bit of a discount, but he would still cost a decent chunk of change.
I think that Beasley would excel with the Patriots. He would be a part of one of the best defenses in the NFL. In this system, you would think Beasley would return to putting up some great numbers.
New England will have to rely on their defense much more. We saw that last season with Tom Brady and if he leaves the offense will undergo a major transformation. That is why it would be worth the investment to bring Beasley to the Patriots.
