Boston Celtics: Jayson Tatum breaking into superstardom
Boston Celtics third-year stud Jayson Tatum has had a heck of a season so far, and he’s opening the door to step into superstardom.
When the Boston Celtics drafted Jayson Tatum third overall in 2017, no one expected him to be so good so fast in his NBA career. He’s put in the work, and Tatum is on the precipice of being a superstar at 21 years old.
Over his last ten games, Tatum is averaging 27 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists while shooting 49% from the field and 50% from 3-point range. Those are superstar numbers, and it seems like JT is finally getting comfortable in his role.

After having a stellar playoff run with the C’s in 2018, it seemed as though his production had dropped off a bit in the ’18-’19 season with the return of Gordon Hayward and Kyrie Irving.
With Hayward back healthy and producing well, and Irving in Brooklyn, Tatum has done nothing but help this team win night in and night out.
All this has earned Jayson Tatum a spot on his first All-Star team, and not doubt it will be one of many to come. He seems to know that this is his team for the foreseeable future and has finally grown into the guy who can step into the role of leader and propel his team to victory.
That’s not easy for a 21-year old to do, and it’s exciting to think about what his future will hold.
The Celtics are locked in with Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum leading them into the future, and each are bringing their own skills to the table. Tatum is ready to lead this team into the playoffs and possibly even the NBA finals.
