Thaddeus Moss ending up on the New England Patriots would be a great story but it would also be great for the passing game.

Thaddeus Moss has already talked to the figureheads of the New England Patriots and he hasn’t even met with the team. I guess those are just the perks of being the son of Randy Moss.

But now that kid who was walking in the locker room is a grown man preparing for one of the best days of his life. Getting drafted by an NFL team.

More from Chowder and Champions

Moss didn’t have a great start to his college career. He started his career at North Carolina State and didn’t get a ton of playing time. It wasn’t until he got to LSU that Moss showed his true potential.

At LSU, Moss helped the Tigers win a national championship. As a tight end, he reigned in 47 catches for 570 yards and 4 touchdowns.

When it mattered most Moss showed out. In the national championship game he had 2 touchdowns.

The thing that makes Moss standout is that he is committed to being a good run blocker. That would help open up some holes for Sony Michel.

Moss is also dangerous in the open field and has great ends. He might not be as talented as Rob Gronkowski but he is the best of both worlds

Also just imagine Tom Brady with Moss. They might even be able to break some records.

On a more realistic note, I think that Moss would be a perfect mid round pick and has the chance to be an upgrade from their current batch of tight ends. With plenty of picks in those rounds, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Moss end up in New England.

Next. The case against re-signing Matthew Slater. dark

It would definitely be a great story but Thaddeus Moss could also become a great player in the right system and there is no system better than the New England Patriots offense.
