New England Patriots rumors: Prepare for life without Tom Brady
By Sam Minton
Things aren’t looking good for New England Patriots fans and it looks like it is time to prepare for life without Tom Brady.
No one could have seen this day coming. Tom Brady was supposed to be in a New England Patriots jersey for his entire career. Now it is looking more and more likely that Brady will be leaving.
Throughout the regular season and now into the offseason the question has been will Tom Brady return or will he leave? With the Patriots not re-signing him prior to the season, we entered unchartered territory.

The consensus has changed almost every day. One day it seems like he basically packed his bags while another will seem like he has basically already signed a new contract with the team.
Lately, though there are some rather serious signs pointing to Brady leaving.
You have Karen Guregian of the Boston Herald saying the Patriots haven’t reached out to Brady and that things aren’t looking good, Jeff Darlington (someone who has a relationship with Brady) said the QB is open to playing for a different team, and Adam Schefter says he would be shocked if Tom Brady returned to the Patriots.
This isn’t one no-name person reporting these thoughts. These are people who are tapped into the league, the Patriots, and Tom Brady.
You also have Mike Giardi who is known to be well tapped into the Patriots organization saying that it’s over and the Patriots want to move on from the QB.
If you are a Tom Brady fan things aren’t looking good. The simplest solution is most often the correct one. All signs are pointing towards Brady leaving and when you have this many people saying one thing there has to be some truth to it.
We have been lucky to see Brady play in New England for so long. His run has been unmatched and he is without a doubt the best quarterback of all time.
But the Patriots will be better off. They can draft a QB or sign a free agent and start over while still having one of the best defenses in the NFL.
So it might be a hard pill to swallow but it’s time for fans to realize Tom Brady isn’t coming back.
