Boston Bruins news: Patrice Bergeron continues to shine
By Sam Minton
Even as he continues to get older, Patrice Bergeron continues to perform well for the Boston Bruins.
I honestly don’t know how Patrice Bergeron continues to do it. Just when you think he is going to take a step back he finds new ways to impress you. The Boston Bruins are lucky to have such a talented player.
Bergeron is 34 years old. You would think that his production would take a hit, but that hasn’t been the case. Bergeron continues to be an important piece of the Bruins.

I have to put my hand up and admit I was wrong for doubting Bergeron at the beginning of the season. He is just going to continue to put up 60-70 points a season until he retires.
This season Bergeron has been great for the Bruins. He has 30 goals and 25 assists this season. He also has been able to stay relatively healthy this season.
Bergeron continues to be a beast in the faceoff and just in general. He is still one of the best two-way players in the NHL.
When Bergeron is on the ice the entire roster is noticeably better. When he misses a game it’s like Boston is missing the glue that holds themselves together.
If Bergeron is putting up these kind of numbers at 34 years old I don’t think he will ever stop. Even if he takes a slight hit in production and has 50 points in a season that would still be amazing considering his age.
So you have to give Patrice Bergeron some credit. He keeps himself in great shape and is still one of the best players in the NHL today.
If Bergeron continues to play well there is a good chance he and his Boston Bruins teammates will be lifting the Stanley Cup at the end of the season.
