Phillip Dorsett is now on the Seattle Seahawks and that means New England Patriots fans will get to see what N’Keal Harry is made of.

The New England Patriots just keep losing players. At this point, you will barely be able to recognize who is on the field.

New England’s latest exit is Phillip Dorsett. The wide receiver is headed out west to play with the Seattle Seahawks.

More from Chowder and Champions

Personally, I liked Dorsett. When he was needed, Dorsett made some big plays. It just seemed that he never fully seized the opportunity.

Even though 2019 was Dorsett’s best season with the team, he still only put up 29 catches for 397 yards and 5 touchdowns. Pretty good, but not enough to warrant being on this new look Patriots roster.

One of the main reasons that I think the  Patriots moved on from Dorsett is because they have some young wide receivers who could become stars. The main one being 2019 draft pick N’Keal Harry.

The New England Patriots aren’t exactly known for drafting great receivers. They took a giant risk selecting Harry in the first round.

2019 wasn’t a great year for Harry. He struggled with injuries and only managed to appear in 7 games. In those games, we got to see some magic but not a ton.

Harry showed off his athleticism and skill but didn’t get a lot of balls thrown his way. Tom Brady didn’t appear to trust him or any other young receiver.

Now that Dorsett (and Brady) have left the team Harry has a golden opportunity. Right now Harry would likely be New England’s 2nd option at wide receiver. He should get plenty of snaps in 2020.

Harry could have a breakout season in 2020. He will be able to show off all his skills and prove that the New England Patriots made the right decision drafting him in the 1st round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Next. New England Patriots on a pathway towards the bottom. dark

So 2020 could be the year that N’Keal Harry shows the NFL what he is truly made of.
