With live sports put on pause, Boston Celtics fans will be itching to see Paul Pierce perform in a H-O-R-S-E competition.

This is what we have come to. Boston Celtics fans should be getting excited over a H-O-R-S-E competition.

The NBA is looking to give fans some sort of entertainment. Re-watching old games can only go so far and we are still waiting for that Michael Jordan series to drop.

In comes a H-O-R-S-E competition to save the day. 8 players will be participating in a tournament that is broadcast on ESPN. The participants will be made up of NBA and WNBA players from the past and present.

One of those players will be former Boston Celtic Paul Pierce. If there is one thing C’s fans can’t get enough of it is Paul Pierce.

Pierce does have a tough matchup in the 1st round. The Truth will be going up against dunk extraordinaire Zach Lavine. Thankfully for Pierce, dunking is not allowed. If that was the case Pierce would have been toast.

Hopefully, Pierce will end up going far in the tournament and maybe even winning the whole thing. He always finds a way to make Boston Celtics fans proud.

I can’t guarantee that I will be watching these competitions. I may miss basketball but watching players in their homes playing H-O-R-S-E isn’t exactly the most exciting thing to watch.

There has never been a point in my life that I have missed basketball more than right now. Imagine getting to listen to Tommy Heinsohn and Mike Gorman call a game right now? That would be an absolute delight.

Of course, I’ll be rooting for Pierce but that doesn’t mean millions of people will be tuning in. It is just not the same as watching live games. If you are someone who needs to watch some sort of live sports entertainment you can find Pierce playing on Sunday.
