Patriots rumors: Why Aaron Rodgers will finish his career in New England
By Jack Cote
Could the New England Patriots shock the NFL and land the one and only Aaron Rodgers?
One of the great quarterback rivalries of all time, a debate that has been blasting sports talk shows for the past decade, former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady vs. Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Despite Rodger’s incredible talent, this debate has never been close. But, I know a way that Mr. Cocky, aka Aaron Rodgers could make it close.
Brady’s success over the last 20 years of football has been something you would think no human could be capable of sustaining. It has been an impressive run for Tom Brady with the Patriots but, his time in New England has officially concluded. So, who’s the next quarterback for the Patriots?

I am telling you right now; there is no way with the genius that Bill Belichick is, that Jarrett Stidham will be long-term in New England. Maybe long-term as a backup. Sure it will be interesting to see what Belichick can do without Tom Brady under center, but at the end of the day, Stidham is going to be a one year experiment. So, who is actually going to be Tom Brady’s replacement?
After the Green Bay Packers selected quarterback Jordan Love in the first round, it seems as though the organization doesn’t wholly respect Rodger’s recent suggestions about needing offensive help. Whether that be one of the elite receivers out of Alabama or a monstrous tight end, the Packers front office decided to take a different route, drafting Aaron Rodger’s replacement.
I don’t know if you remember, but a while back, the New England Patriots drafted this guy named Jimmy Garoppolo.
Ring a bell?
Well, if it wasn’t for Robert Kraft having Tom Brady’s back, Brady would have been thrown right out of New England. But in Aaron Rodger’s scenario, I don’t think there is anyone in the Green Bay Packer’s front office that has the gutsy slingers back. For that reason, Rodgers is in the hot seat. I believe he has one more year left until he breaks his silence and unleashes his frustration on the franchise.
Perfect timing right?
Imagine if Aaron Rodgers and Bill Belichick teamed up and won a few Super Bowls, I wonder how Tom Brady would feel about that. With the hourglass officially in place and the New England Patriots in need of a new quarterback, I don’t see how Aaron Rodgers doesn’t find his way to Foxborough.
Belichick wants Rodgers because it will boost his legacy if he proves he can win with someone besides Tom Brady. It increases Aaron Rodger’s legacy and would silence the debate between him and Brady if Rodgers were to go into New England and snag a Lombardi trophy. It’s a perfect scenario for everyone involved.
Watch out NFL, Aaron Rodgers is coming to New England to play for the Patriots; it will happen sooner or later.
