Boston Celtics: Why Rajon Rondo will always hate Ray Allen
By Sam Minton
Rajon Rondo has disliked Ray Allen for a while and now it seems that Boston Celtics fans finally know why.
Another day and another great story from Kendrick Perkins. Perk has done a great job of giving Boston Celtics fans a peek behind the curtain.
Celtics fans and players alike have shown their disdain for Ray Allen. He abandoned the team and went to an immediate competitor just because it was an easier road to a championship.

Rajon Rondo and Kevin Garnett have been some of the more outspoken critics of Allen. They both seem to still have a strong hatred of one of the best shooters in NBA history.
Thanks to Kendrick Perkins we now know why Rondo hates Allen so much. According to Perk, Allen wanted to trade Rondo.
"“Rondo ended up finding out about [Allen wanting to trade him] and that was it from there,” Perkins told SiriusXM NBA Radio. “To the point where we brought boxing gloves to the gym and they got on boxing gloves, Ray and Rondo, like they put on the gloves. We made them box it out for like two rounds.”"
Imagining Rondo and Allen boxing must be quite the sight (even though I think Allen is more of a lover than a fighter). Rondo on the other hand could probably have a mean hook.
I couldn’t imagine having to play with someone who vocally wants you gone. That changes the entire atmosphere in the locker room.
Celtics fans seemed to have a view that everybody was a happy family when they played. Ubuntu was the team mantra. That doesn’t seem to be the case. These guys were going back and forth all the time.
Allen hasn’t done himself any favors. He could easily show up to Kevin Garnett’s retirement ceremony and bury the hatchet. Celtics fans won’t boo him out of the stadium.
But Allen seems to be content with being petty and holding on to his hatred of Boston and his teammates. He isn’t willing to make any concessions.
So don’t expect Rondo and Allen to make up anytime soon. Just like KG, Rondo will probably hold the grudge until the day he dies.
