Boston Celtics: Jaylen Brown is leader Boston needs

Jaylen Brown has proven that he is the leader that the Boston Celtics need in order to succeed.

A key to a team’s success is having a leader on and off the court. It appears that the Boston Celtics have their guy.

Ever since Jaylen Brown was drafted to the C’s he has proven that he is the leader the team needed.

First off Brown is a great player. I’m glad that the Celtics signed him to a long term deal as it was well deserved. Brown is having a career year averaging 20.4 points and 6.4 rebounds a game.

Brown has really come into his own this season. Of course, he is amazing at driving to the rim but we are seeing Brown become a better shooter. If one player is having a bad night, Brown is there to pick up the slack.

In the locker room, Brown is a perfect leader. When Boston was being ravaged by Kyrie Irving and his antics, Brown wasn’t afraid to call him out. He defended his fellow young players as a true leader should. If anyone was worthy of adding an extra C to their jersey it is Brown. He deserves to be a captain.

Brown has also been involved with the city off the court. When he isn’t being a great NBA player, he is speaking at Harvard and protesting racial injustice. He deserves to be a foundation of a franchise.

There is no doubt that Jayson Tatum is the best player on the team. He has a real chance to be a top player in the entire NBA.

If Boston wants to be successful they need a leader. It doesn’t matter how talented you are if you don’t have some sort of leadership you are going to fail.

Brown’s on and off the court abilities make him a key part of the Celtics roster. It’s crazy to think that some people were worried about his intelligence during the draft process.

The Boston Celtics are lucky to have Jaylen Brown on the roster. With him on the roster, they have a chance to achieve something special.
