The Boston Celtics are finally able to practice and Tacko Fall was one of the first players to workout.

As of Monday sports are back in Boston. Teams have finally gotten the go ahead to return to practice and get ready for their seasons to resume. One of the teams who needs to get ready the fastest is the Boston Celtics.

The Auerbach Center is now open and the Celtics have already had their first player get some shots up. Tacko Fall was one of the first players to practice in the team’s facilities.

Now, this just shows how hard of a worker Fall is. He made sure that he could be one of the first players in the facilities.

Now of course some players had more important matters to attend to. Jaylen Brown recently drove 15 hours to Atlanta to protest racial injustice and locally we saw Enes Kanter, Marcus Smart, and Vincent Poirier protest here in Boston.

But I think this indicates how Fall could have a role in the Celtics playoff push.

Of course, the playoffs are going to look different. There could be more teams, the NBA could be headquartered in Disney World, and the roster sizes could be expanded.

With expanded roster sizes I see Tacko Fall getting some playing time. He isn’t just a sideshow he can make an impact on the game.

One of Fall’s biggest skills is something that can’t be taught. His height makes him a weapon on offense and defense.

On the offensive side of the ball, Fall is able to grab rebounds and extend possession time for the Celtics. Also, he can be dangerous in the post. The NBA is moving away from the day of the big man, but in Boston’s 2nd unit they could use that presence.

On defense, Fall is able to clog up the post. It makes it hard for players to drive to the rim and forces them to take outside shops. If everyone is doing their job on defense this should limit scoring.

So on the 2nd unit, I think Fall could have an important role. If Boston is struggling to contain players he could be thrown into the mix to try and help make a difference. When you are going up against a player like Giannis Antetokounmpo you need all the help you can get.

Next. Proposed playoffs means quick exit for Celtics. dark

It will be interesting to see how the Boston Celtics use Tacko Fall once basketball resumes.
