Midway through the first round, these five players for the Boston Bruins are impressing fans so far with their play.

We are in the middle of the first round and the Boston Bruins have definitley kept things interesting.

Headed into Game Four, the Bruins have a 2-1 lead over Carolina. That honestly might be the least interesting fact about the series.

David Pastrnak hasn’t played since Game One but skated with the team on Sunday and appears to be questionable for Game Four. Also, there is Tuukka Rask deciding to opt-out of the bubble and becoming the man who launched a 1,000 hot takes.

Then for the Hurricanes, you have the unfortunate injury of Andrei Svechnikov that will be a rather large blow to Carolina. With Svechinikov’s status in question for the rest of the playoffs, it’s rather safe to assume he won’t be returning to go up against the Bruins.

To Boston’s credit, they have gotten some great performances from some lesser known players. I guess that is what happens when your top goal scorer misses a few games.

But the Bruins have also impressed defending in their own zone. This will be even more important now that Rask will not be playing. It would be nice to allow Halak to get his feet under him before throwing him into the fire.

So let’s look at the five Boston Bruins players who are impressing so far in the first round.
