New England Patriots: 3 players who need to improve in Week 2
By Sam Minton
The New England Patriots started their season off well, but these three players need to improve in Week 2.
Week 1 was a good one for New England Patriots fans. The team walked away with a victory and seem to be headed in the right direction.
New England’s offense looked good with Cam Newton leading the way. He did most of his damage on the ground rushing for two touchdowns, but he also looked good throwing the ball.

The Patriots defense was also impressive as well. The secondary stood out snagging three interceptions. Stephon Gilmore once again looked like the best corner in the NFL.
Overall there wasn’t a lot to complain about. New England did their job.
Still, some players didn’t have the best games. If they continue to struggle their careers in New England could be coming to an end. These guys need to do better.
So let us look at three players who need to improve in Week 2.
Nick Folk
Nick Folk wasn’t the worst kicker in the NFL on Sunday but he was pretty close to it. He might have converted on 100 percent of his extra points, but he missed his only field goal attempt of the game.
Now the kick was from 45 yards out, but it wasn’t even close. If it was 25 yards out he probably would have missed it too.
The Patriots need to find a kicker who they can rely on. If they don’t, Folk or someone else could cost them a game.
Now it’s unlikely that they get rid of him after one game, but if he continues to miss kicks, Folk will be packing his bags.
So Folk is definitely a player who needs to perform better in Week 2.
