New England Patriots: N’Keal Harry isn’t doing himself any favors
By Sam Minton
N’Keal Harry is blaming Cam Newton for his struggles and that won’t sit well with New England Patriots fans.
Some players just can’t do anything right. You want them to do well, but they never live up to the hype. New England Patriots fans are starting to realize this about N’Keal Harry.
When Harry was drafted it seemed like he would save the passing game. If the Patriots draft you in the first round, you must be a special player.

But so far that hasn’t been the case for the wideout out of Arizona State. All Harry has done is be a massive disappointment.
Harry’s career stats look more like a below average season for an NFL wideout. In his first two seasons, he only has 41 catches for 382 yards and four touchdowns.
Even though he has underperformed, Harry has still garnered support. Both Bill Belichick and Cam Newton have both been vocal supporters of the wideout.
That is what makes the latest news out of Gillette quite head scratching. Harry’s trainer is blaming Newton for his struggles.
"“We’ve got a new quarterback. We’ve got to put some of that (expletive) on Cam,” Whitfield said. “Cam hasn’t been the most accurate this year. Like if (N’Keal) had Tom Brady, Tom Brady would’ve fed him. But we’re back there with Cam and Cam’s getting acclimated to the offense, too.”Whitfield added: “It’s a big deal coming from Tom Brady to Cam Newton. … That’s one of Cam Newton’s biggest issues is mechanics.”"
Now this isn’t Harry saying this, but if his trainer is saying this one has to think they have had conversations with a similar message. No matter what it’s a bad look for Harry.
Fans don’t want to hear a player blame others for his struggles. They want you to take accountability and work even harder.
Harry just isn’t doing himself any favors. Just yesterday I wrote about how it wasn’t time to give up on Harry. Then this news comes out?
I’m sorry but if this is the type of attitude Harry is going to have it might be time to look at other options. If anything Harry should be grateful for Newton. Unlike Tom Brady, Newton actually wants to help Harry improve and wants to throw him the ball.
What more does Harry want? Does he want Newton to bow down to him?
So the best thing for Harry will be to focus on football and let his game do the talking. If he wants fans to like him, he needs to start scoring touchdowns and making some impressive catches. That is the easiest way to get fans off your back.
But if Harry continues to toss the blame to others instead of himself, he will be just another addition to the list of disappointing wideouts that the Patriots drafted in recent years.
