The Boston Bruins are playing some great hockey at the moment. They defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins and are now 4-1-1 on the season.

Boston just looks like a team that can not be beaten. There are times that the Bruins just completely dominate the attacking zone. Even though they are at even strength, they play like they are on the power play.

Also when you shutout a team it’s hard to complain. It was a complete effort on Tuesday night.

The only issue for the Bruins was their lack of discipline. It seemed like they were called for double-digit penalties on the night.

It almost cost the team the victory with the game going to overtime, but Craig Smith was able to slot home a goal to win the game.

But there were plenty of reasons to be excited after the Bruins performance on Tuesday night. Here is what Bruins fans will want to know after the 3-2 victory.

Boston Bruins: 3 observations from Tuesday’s tumultuous win over Penguins – No.3: Nick Ritchie can’t stop scoring.

Like a lot of people, I didn’t have a lot of hope for Nick Ritchie. He seemed like he would weigh down a line instead of lifting them up.

But so far in 2021, Ritchie has been amazing. He has been one of the B’s best goal scorers.

Ritchie continued to put the puck in the net on Tuesday. He scored the game-winning goal for the Bruins on the power play.

It just seems like Ritchie is a completely different player. Who would have imagined that he would be skating on the second line?

Ritchie continues to show that the trade with the Ducks was a great move by the team. Getting Ondrej Kase and Ritchie was a move that Don Sweeney deserves kudos for (especially since they were able to unload David Backes).

So Ritchie is making a lot of people eat their words and is having a great start to 2021.
