The New England Patriots have a tough decision to make when it comes to their next quarterback of the future, but the Seattle Seahawks could once again do the team a major favor.

Who can forget Pete Carroll basically gifting New England a Super Bowl by not having Marshawn Lynch run the ball? Thanks to him we got to witness Malcolm Butler pick off Russell Wilson and secure another Lombardi Trophy for the Patriots organization. Ever since then the Seahawks have yet to recover.

It now seems like failing to have any serious success in the postseason is starting to bug Wilson. On Tuesday he openly admitted that he was frustrated and a trade doesn’t seem to be off the table.

While Wilson tried his best to not directly go after the organization, by complaining about the offensive line he basically did. The front office is the one who assembled that o-line.

While completing a trade would be difficult, acquiring “Mr.Unlimited” doesn’t seem impossible.

Why New England Patriots fans should keep an eye on Russell Wilson situation.

If Wilson is on the trade block, the Patriots need to acquire him. It would be a franchise-altering move that could have them returning to the Super Bowl.

Wilson absolutely dominated 2020. He threw for over 4,000 yards along with 40 touchdowns. It’s safe to say that he would be a significant upgrade from Cam Newton.

But there is also the fact that Wilson is only 32 years old. That might have seemed kind of old 20 years ago, but now the game has changed.

QB’s are getting hit less and less. They have never been protected as they have been now. Wilson could definitely play into his 40’s. He has the arm to survive even without his mobility.

The Patriots should also be an intriguing location for Wilson. They have an impressive line so Wilson doesn’t have to worry about getting hit so often. The team should be able to keep David Andrews and New England has some young players like Isaiah Wynn and Michael Onwenu who can be long term members of the offensive line.

Honestly no matter the price, the Patriots should go after Wilson. He is that good and can get the organization back to its winning ways.

After watching Tom Brady win a Super Bowl, Bill Belichick will want to show that he still has the talent to create a Super Bowl winning team. If Wilson was in New England, it’s safe to say that winning a championship is in the cards for the Patriots.
