It wasn’t Dion Lewis or Chris Hogan who helped propel the New England Patriots offense in the last few minutes, it was James White.

Of course Dion Lewis and Chris Hogan were a part of the comeback, undoubtedly.  James White though?  He had 110 yards on 14 receptions, three touchdowns, and a successful two point conversion for the New England Patriots.  Safe to say Atlanta had not prepared for him.

James White is a 25- year-old kid from Florida, who wasn’t even active in the Patriots regular season game against the Seattle Seahawks.  For him to come out and make an impact like that is really special.  It’s a testament to his hard work as well.

More from New England Patriots

Against the Cincinnati Bengals, White had two touchdowns and 19 yards.  Also, LaGarrette Blount was supposed to be able to run and take some of the pressure off of Tom Brady.  Dion Lewis was coming off of a great performance against the Texans a couple of weeks ago.  However, his impact wasn’t nearly as big as people thought it would be.

I can’t stress enough how clutch James White was for the Pats.  He came to play, and scored the winning touchdown! That’s right up there with Malcolm Butler’s interception.  Butler was the unexpected hero, as was White.  Everyone was dropping passes in this one.  Just watching the first half made Pats fans go nuts.  Honestly, it was the most uncharacteristic first half for the New England Patriots.

The coolest play of the game?

Really, should be the game winner.  However, that two point conversion when the ball was snapped to White instead of Brady?  Awesome.  All things considered, that play is underrated.  In all honesty, I think that play threw everyone off.  Strangely enough, Josh McDaniels’ play calling in the first half was…well it wasn’t great now was it?  I think as soon as he saw the advantage he had with James White, he took it.

Arguably, one of the best Super Bowl’s ever played.  Finally, game where everyone was dropping passes and playing bad football, James White kept the Patriots going.  So all in all, way to go James.
