Tom Brady has no targets

The New England Patriots offense is making life difficult for Tom Brady in two ways.

More from New England Patriots

The first way is due to the offensive line. Opposing defenses are bullying the big guys up front, and making life difficult. I don’t know if a 41-year-old should be dancing in the pocket like Brady is. This also hurts the Patriots in the run game (we’ll get to that later).

The other reason life is difficult for Brady is because he has no one to throw the ball to. Rob Gronkowski is being taken out of games with Julian Edelman out, and Chris Hogan and Phillip Dorsett are struggling to have any sort of success. Josh Gordon may be the saving grace of the offense.

The only guy Brady can rely on is James White. He seems to do everything Brady asks of him and we saw his skill with a great touchdown catch on Sunday night.

The Patriots have failed to give Tom Brady any targets. It’s pretty hard to score when you have no one to throw the ball to.
