The Boston Celtics may have bought into the hype and forgot they actually have to play basketball games. If they keep this up they will have no chance to win a championship.

That definitely wasn’t fun to watch. There is no reason that the Boston Celtics should lose to the Orlando Magic. A team can’t be perfect, but the C’s are far from where they need to be.

The C’s haven’t dominated like we thought they would early on this season. They have lost two straight games where they didn’t play well

Through the first 4 games of the season, the Celtics have shown some concerning traits. The C’s are chucking up a ton of threes. Now if they are dropping it is fine, but if you are ice cold it’s not the best idea.

In Monday night’s game, the Celtics shot 9-40 from behind the arc. The C’s need to get back to some classic Brad Stevens offense. They need to move the ball better and get some high percentage shots.

If the Celtics are making the smart plays on offense they will open up opportunities to take open 3’s. Guards like Kyrie Irving and Terry Rozier should be driving to the lane and looking to kick it out to teammates.

I still think the Celtics will be a great team. They have all the talent in the world. This year’s Celtics squad needs to get used to one another. I know the roster is mostly the same, but after some player’s success last year and Gordon Hayward being added to the offense, it will take time to perfect the team’s chemistry.

If the Celtics start to move the ball well and realize that they aren’t invincible they will start to win games. All season we have heard about the Celtics being the best team in the East. The hype around the team was immense and clearly seeped into the locker room. If the Celtics play good team basketball they may end up being invincible.

Now even though it may seem like I am bashing the Celtics efforts on Monday night there is some hope. Kyrie Irving had a solid game on Monday night scoring 22 points, but he needs better support. The next highest scorer was Al Horford who had 15 points. After a rough start to the season, I’m glad to see Kyrie put together a good game.

Next. Jayson Tatum’s time is now. dark

So the Boston Celtics need to get it together and realize that it takes a team effort to win games in the NBA.
