The Boston Bruins are in a pretty good spot early on in the season. This team is definitely capable of winning the Stanley Cup.

The Boston Bruins haven’t had an amazing start to their season, but they are doing pretty well. Boston is in 3rd place in the Eastern Conference and are only three points away from first place.

This is kind of surprising because it hasn’t seemed like the Bruins have been doing well. Their defense has struggled at times and so has their scoring. Let’s not even get to the Bruins wonderful goaltender situation.

But I think the Bruins can make a run for the Stanley Cup. They have such a young and talented roster. Surely as we get deeper into the season everyone will start to gel. Even recently we have started to see this.

So here are 3 reasons the Boston Bruins have a chance to win the Stanley Cup.

1. They are starting to get scoring from other lines.

The Boston Bruins first line has been absolutely insane, but it seems like they are starting to get scoring from other lines.

There are two lines that have started to improve as of late.

Jake DeBrusk and the 2nd line have looked great recently. DeBrusk has skated well since the start of the season, but now he is scoring. He has 5 goals and 2 assists this season (half of those points coming in the last 5 games).

If the 2nd line can continue to put up points it will help out the Bruins top line a lot.

Boston’s 3rd line is starting to look good as well. The line of Danton Heinen, Jakob Forsbackka Karlsson, and Anders Bjork has built some great chemistry as of late.

Bruce Cassidy might have found something special with this group.
