Boston Bruins: Nobody hotter than Jake DeBrusk
By Sam Minton
Boston Bruins winger Jake DeBrusk can’t be stopped. With Patrice Bergeron out, DeBrusk has kept the B’s afloat.
David Pastrnak got off to a great start this season, but another Boston Bruins winger is catching up to him. Jake DeBrusk has been tearing up the ice as of late.
DeBrusk struggled to get going early on in the season. It wasn’t that he was playing poorly. He just couldn’t seem to get the puck in the net. Now he can’t stop scoring.
In his last 6 games, he has scored 5 goals. That is half of his season total. It looks like once again DeBrusk will be one of the Bruins leading scorers. He rounds out Boston’s top 5 scorers and is only behind Pastrnak for most goals on the team.

DeBrusk’s scoring output will help the Bruins out greatly. With Patrice Bergeron out, Boston needs scoring while he was gone.
For a while, the scoring was only coming from the first line but now everything seems okay. David Backes is even scoring goals.
with DeBrusk performing well the Bruins have two lines that are dominating. No longer do you have to pray for Brad Marchand or David Pastrnak to score. You have other guys that will step up to the challenge.
It may not seem like it right now but the Bruins are in a great spot. They are 4th in the Eastern Conference standings and 7th in the entire NHL. When you factor in all the injuries Boston has had to deal with that is amazing.
Early on it seemed like Boston was bound to miss the playoffs and be a disappointment. Now they look like Stanley Cup contenders. When you have Jakob Forsbacka Karlsson playing well anything seems possible.
One of the main reasons for Boston’s resurgence is Jake DeBrusk. As long as he keeps scoring the Bruins will do just fine.
