Boston Bruins: Charlie McAvoy will play major role in team’s success

The Boston Bruins need Charlie McAvoy to start performing well immediately.

The Boston Bruins aren’t playing well. The hard-hitting and energetic play has been replaced by a team that seems worn out early in the season. Hopefully, Charlie McAvoy can change all of that.

The last few games haven’t been fun for Bruins fans. The team has looked pretty bad. They have been unable to score goals and aren’t doing the guys between the pipes any favors. It seems like all of the injuries early on are finally catching up to the team.

One guy who I think can ignite the team is Charlie McAvoy. Ever since he played his first game you could see that McAvoy was a special player. He is a great puck moving defenseman who has a wicked slap shot.

McAvoy isn’t a slouch on defense though. In his own zone, McAvoy is able to deliver devastating hits and rarely makes a mistake.

I think Charlie McAvoy will play a major role in the Bruins success moving forward. He is the future of the team. If Boston is lucky he will take over Zdeno Chara’s role when Big Z retires. McAvoy will be the Bruins top defensemen.

If McAvoy is able to get hot in the offensive zone he will be able to help his teammates out as well. Boston has struggled to score as of late. David Pastrnak and the Bruins first line can only do so much. If McAvoy can take some of the pressure off it would help those guys out a lot.

Someone needs to ignite the team and give them an energy boost. If the Bruins continue to struggle they could find themselves near the bottom of the Atlantic Division before the All-Star break.

It’s sink or swim for the Boston Bruins. Hopefully, Charlie McAvoy can do his best David Hasselhoff impression.
