Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart is shooting lights out from behind the 3 point line and is becoming one of the top shooters in the league.

Boston Celtics fans fell in love with Marcus Smart’s great defense. Now it looks like he has finally figured out how to shoot the ball.

We have talked about Smart’s increased shooting abilities but Smart has gotten even better. Marcus Smart has become one of the top shooters in the league.

Smart has a 3 point shooting percentage of 37.7 percent. That may seem regular but I will list off some of the players that percentage is better than. James Harden, Kevin Durant, Damian Lillard, LeBron James, and Luka Doncic.

So Smart isn’t just having a good 3 point shooting season, he is having a great one. If Marcus Smart can continue to have a great shooting season the Celtics will be in a good position to succeed in the playoffs.

Opposing teams will always be focusing on Kyrie Irving and Jayson Tatum. They are Boston’s best players who can take over games if they want to. How many times have we seen the Celtics just let Kyrie do his thing?

Now it is great that Kyrie Irving is able to do this, but I don’t know how long the Celtics will last in the playoffs if they rely on Kyrie. They need guys like Gordon Hayward, Jaylen Brown, and now Marcus Smart to take some of the pressure off of Irving.

If the Boston Celtics get hot and are shooting lights out they will be a team that opponents fear.  The New England Patriots just had a parade in Boston, why not have another one?

The Celtics have always played the Golden State Warriors hard and know how to beat the skillful squad. It’s not crazy to think that Boston can win an NBA title.

If Marcus Smart continues to shoot like he has been there is nothing this team can’t accomplish.
