New England Patriots 2018 season in review: Grading Tom Brady
By Sam Minton
Tom Brady was able to lead the New England Patriots to another Super Bowl victory, but the road to get there was a lot bumpier than usual.
Tom Brady is able to get things done when it matters most. Even though the road to the Super Bowl wasn’t an easy one, he managed to lead the New England Patriots to another championship.
Brady’s stats took a slight dip in 2018. He threw for 4,355 yards, 29 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.

The thing was that Brady made some uncharacteristic plays throughout the season. He threw some awful interceptions and missed some wide open receivers. This is something that New England Patriots fans definitely aren’t used to.
Brady’s ability to perform in clutch situations hasn’t changed though. He is still the comeback king of the NFL.
In the Super Bowl, Brady iced the game away with a beautiful throw to Rob Gronkowski late in the 4th quarter. There is no other quarterback I would trust more to save the day.
It will be interesting to see how Brady continues to evolve each season. For a 41 year old quarterback he had a great season. The question is will he be able to maintain this level of play.
Throughout his career Tom Brady has proven that you shouldn’t doubt him. Betting against Tom Brady is basically a guaranteed loss. Still I wonder if he can perform at such a high level in future seasons.
Now to the grade.
Tom Brady’s 2018 season grade: B
If there was no name attached to Tom Brady’s stats you would say that he had a good season. 29 touchdowns and 4,355 yards is a quality season.
Still this is Tom Brady we are talking about. So even though this was a good season, and Brady won his 6th Super Bowl, there were some drawbacks. Brady did make some big mistakes throughout the season.
2018 was a success for Tom Brady, but hopefully he won’t make as many mistakes as he did last season.
