Boston Celtics rumors: Carmelo Anthony won’t solve any problems
By Sam Minton
The Boston Celtics definitely have some problems but bringing in Carmelo Anthony won’t solve any of them.
The Boston Celtics are playing some pretty terrible basketball at the moment. Boston has lost 7 of their last 10 games. The team needs to improve soon or this season will be a massive disappointment.
Before the regular season, everyone thought that the Eastern Conference was locked up. Boston was basically awarded the No.1 seed before playing a game.

Well there is a reason the regular season is played. Just because a team has talent doesn’t mean that they are the best overall team.
The Celtics are playing some uninspired basketball at the moment. Players are failing to get back on defense and the team is failing to work as a unit.
Now some believe that the Boston Celtics should make a move and bring in Carmelo Anthony. I’m going to pass.
The Celtics don’t need a washed up-ball hog to come off the bench. Literally when you search ball hog right next to the definition is Carmelo Anthony. Anthony is 34 years old and hasn’t played in a game since November.
Also, one of the biggest issues the C’s have right now is off the court. The locker room needs a leader and someone who won’t rock the boat. Kyrie Irving tried to be that motivating force, but his off the court antics regarding his impending free agency have been too much of a distraction.
Adding Carmelo Anthony to this locker room is just adding fuel to the fire. He doesn’t make locker rooms closer, he breaks them apart.
If the Boston Celtics want to win they need to start coming together and playing as a team. Kyrie Irving and Jayson Tatum can’t bail them out every single night. When everyone is scoring and Boston is playing quality team basketball they tend to win games.
So let the team fix their problems on their own and don’t make things worse by signing Carmelo Anthony.
