Even though this season hasn’t been what Boston Celtics fans expected there isn’t any reason to worry.

The regular season is called the regular season for a reason. It isn’t anything special. As long as you make it to the postseason that is all that matters. The Boston Celtics may have fallen short of our immense high expectations, but there is no reason to get worried. The C’s will be just fine.

The thing that makes the playoffs so difficult is that you are facing a team 7 straight times (if necessary). That means that usually, the most talented team prevails.

Now the Boston Celtics are far and away the most talented team in the Eastern Conference. If anyone can defeat the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals, it’s the Celtics.

Kyrie Irving is the leader of the team both on and off the court. When the Celtics need a bucket, Kyrie is their go-to-guy.

Then there is Jayson Tatum. The young phenom proved last season that he thrives in the clutch. As a rookie, Tatum averaged 18.5 points and 4.4 rebounds a game in the postseason.

The Celtics also have an insane amount of depth with a 2nd unit led by the likes of Terry Rozier, Jaylen Brown, and Gordon Hayward. These guys could be starters on other NBA teams.

So when the postseason comes the Boston Celtics should be just fine. Even Kyrie Irving believes so.

"“I don’t get frustrated about this stuff anymore,” Irving explained. “It’s just part of the regular season. In the playoffs, when we can plan for a team, prepare for a team, I still don’t see anybody beating us in seven games.”"

I have to agree with Kyrie. I still think the Boston Celtics are the best team in the Eastern Conference. They just have so much talent.

Last season the Celtics almost made it to the NBA Finals without Gordon Hayward and Kyrie Irving. With them, I just have to think they will improve.

So let’s not get too worried about the Boston Celtics performance in the regular season. If the C’s get to the NBA Finals we will forget about some of their rough performances in the regular season.
