Brad Marchand has had another amazing season for the Boston Bruins and now is a member of a rather exclusive club of Bruins legends.

People love to talk about Brad Marchand. It seems like everyone outside of Boston hates him, but there is no denying that the Boston Bruins winger is one of the best in the NHL.

These last few seasons Marchand has improved drastically. He has made a name for himself. No longer is he just a rat or an agitator. Marchand is a guy you could build your team around.

More from Chowder and Champions

This season is Marchy’s best of his career. In 73 games, he has 31 goals and 59 assists.

Passing 90 points is something a player should celebrate. The last Boston Bruin to do so was Marc Savard in the 2006-07 season.

There was something special about this season. Marchand wasn’t just focused on scoring. He was looking for the best possible scoring opportunity, even if that meant giving up a shot to pass. Early on in the season we saw Marchand dish out some great assists.

Don’t worry though, Marchand is definitely still able to score. He is one goal behind David Pastrnak for the top spot on the team.

The Bruins will need Marchand in the playoffs. His game fits perfectly for the style of play that the postseason brings. If Marchand can continue to light the lamp and set up his teammates with prime goal scoring opportunities the Bruins will go very far.

Marchand has already established himself as a Boston Bruins legend. His ability to rack up points has already shot him up the franchise leaderboards. He is 11th in goals, 18th in assists, and 14th in points.

Realistically I can see Marchand sneaking his way into the top 5 in goals and points. He is just a scoring machine.

Next. Zdeno Chara isn't done yet. dark

In a rather short period of time, Brad Marchand has secured his spot in the Boston Bruins history books. He truly is one of the greats.
