After his freak thumb injury kept him out of the lineup for a while, Boston Bruins winger David Pastrnak has continued his amazing 2018-19 season.

Usually when a player comes back from an injury it can take them a while to start performing like their normal selves. Lucky for the Boston Bruins, David Pastrnak started performing well immediately.

The amount of injuries that the Boston Bruins have had to deal with is insane. The fact that they are 2nd in the Eastern Conference is impressive to say the least.

We have seen guys like Zdeno Chara and Patrice Bergeron miss some significant time. Usually that would destroy a team, but not the Boston Bruins.

When it was announced that David Pastrnak would be out due to thumb surgery I was nervous. Pastrnak’s hands are lethal weapons. He uses them to dangle his way through defenseman and score some beautiful goals.

It seems like Pastrnak is doing just fine. Ever since he returned to the lineup he has been amazing. In Pastrnak’s last 5 games he has 5 goals and 6 assists. You can’t do much better than that.

This has been such an amazing season for Pastrnak. In 61 games he has 36 goals and 41 assists. Imagine what he would have if he hadn’t gotten injured.

The Bruins will definitely need Pastrnak to keep lighting the lamp in the playoffs. If he goes cold the team will be in major trouble.

This season has proven that David Pastrnak was worth the investment. The team signed him to a 6 year $40 million dollar deal last year. This is basically a bargain for such an amazing goal scorer. Especially looking at some of the more recent deals of comparable players.

Bruins fans are hoping that Pastrnak will continue to lead the team in the postseason and hopefully lift a Stanley Cup when all is said and done.
