Gordon Hayward hasn’t had the best season but it looks like he will have momentum on his side as he and the Boston Celtics prepare for an NBA Finals run.

This season has been an absolute rollercoaster for the Boston Celtics. One game they can look unstoppable and the next they look like the worst team in the Eastern Conference.

The same goes for Gordon Hayward. There will be games where he looks like the guy that Celtics fans were expecting when they traded for him, but then the next game he will look like he belongs in the G-League.

More from Chowder and Champions

Hayward seemed to take a while to find his game. He was struggling to find his shot and looked lost on the court.

Throughout the season there have been highs and lows for Hayward, but at least for the moment it looks like he is playing some of his best basketball.

Last night Hayward looked great. The C’s were playing a Miami Heat team that is vying for a playoff spot and Hayward was one of the C’s best players. He racked up 25 points 8 rebounds and 5 assists.

The thing that stands out is Hayward’s shooting ability. Last night he shot 60 percent from 3 point range. As the season progressed he has become a much more reliable shooter.

In the playoffs the Celtics will need Hayward to perform. If he struggles it is going to put a ton of pressure on Kyrie Irving and Jayson Tatum.

Even though Kyrie has carried teams before, I don’t know if he will be able to do that with this years team.

dark. Next. The value of Aron Baynes

At the beginning of the season the goal was to get to the NBA Finals, anything else would be a disappointment. If Gordon Hayward keeps playing like this, the Celtics might just win the whole thing.
