After the Boston Celtics Game 5 loss Terry Rozier let the media known just how much of a struggle this year has been.

Looking back at the beginning of the season we can all agree that this isn’t where we expected the Boston Celtics to be. This team had so much talent and promise but that’s why you play the game, because anything can happen.

There are plenty of reasons to be mad at the team. They should have been better and their effort was sub-par to say the least.

More from Chowder and Champions

Throughout his career Terry Rozier hasn’t been afraid to speak his mind. This was the guy who called Danny Ainge and basically gave their draft pick of Robert Williams away to the world.

Rozier definitely didn’t hold back after the team’s Game 5 loss. He called out his teammates and mentioned how tough this was for Brad Stevens.

"“Everybody was running around with their heads cut off, like chickens,” Rozier told Goodwill. “Coach was in a tough position, one of the toughest positions, dealing with all these guys with attitudes, all that [expletive]. Guys that’s All-Stars, guys getting paid a lot of money, guys trying to get paid. It’s tough.”"

Now Rozier definitely has a good point. Especially at the end the C’s just looked out of sorts. They had no structure and were playing some poor basketball.

It also isn’t fair to put all of the blame on Brad Stevens. A lot of media members were interested to see if he could handle a star, but I don’t know any coach who could have handled Kyrie Irving this season.

Stevens has proven that he deserves the benefit of the doubt so I will be interested to see how he plans to fix the mistakes that the team made next season.

Rozier also took the time to pat himself on the back for making a sacrifice for the team.

"“I feel like I sacrificed the most, but I’d do it any day for this team,” Rozier said. “A lot of things weren’t fair to me, but it’s not about me. That’s why I don’t bitch and complain.”"

I understand what Rozier is trying to say, but maybe after a loss let’s focus on the entire team and now how you made this grand sacrifice. Also it sure sounds like you are complaining.

Rozier went from being the star of the postseason to getting his minutes cut to make way for Kyrie Irving. “Scary Terry” went from averaging 16.5 points and 36.6 minutes per game to just 6.4 points and 18 minutes a game in the playoffs.

With Kyrie Irving’s future up in the air I think it might be time for the Celtics to give Terry Rozier a bigger role. He has shown before that when you give him the minutes he is able to succeed. even in high-pressure scenario’s like the playoffs.

Next. Boston Celtics need a good Gordon Hayward. dark

This season was an absolute rollercoaster for the Boston Celtics, but now they are headed on vacation to hopefully forget about this disastrous season.
