Boston Bruins Rumors: Noel Acciari forced out of Boston
By Sam Minton
The Boston Bruins would have loved to have Noel Acciari next back season, but they simply had no room for the hard-hitting forward.
The Boston Bruins were dealt their first loss of the offseason. You knew that the team couldn’t bring anyone back, but that doesn’t dampen the blow.
So who is the first player saying bye-bye Boston? 4th line star Noel Acciari. The grinder is headed down south to play for the Florida Panthers.

You can’t really fault Acciari for leaving the Bruins. He is getting paid rather well for a 4th liner. Acciari will be making just under $2 million per year.
Acciari was never someone who would light the lamp, but he played a key role. He was apart of a 4th line that could energize the Boston Bruins at any moment.
Last season Acciari had 6 goals and 8 assists in 72 games. Not too shabby for a guy who is known more for his physical play than his goal-scoring ability.
The main reason that Acciari is leaving is because of a genius move by Don Sweeney in the 2018 offseason. The Bruins acquired Joakim Nordstrom and he fit in perfectly.
Nordstrom has one more year on his contract and has a chance to earn some major cash. In the playoffs last season Nordstrom had 3 goals and 5 assists. Considering he had 12 points in 70 games that is quite the uptick in production.
Boston’s 4th line will still be looking strong. Chris Wagner should return to the lineup and Sean Kuraly will be as energetic as ever. Combine that with a motivated Nordstrom and that line will be doing some damage.
So Bruins fans will be wishing Acciari the best down in Florida. It’s not like we have to worry about the Panthers making the playoffs. Acciari will get to chill in the sun and deliver some bone chilling hits every few days. That is quite the life for a 4th liner.
Noel Acciari gave his all for the Boston Bruins and for that we thank him.
