Boston Bruins have a star in first-round pick John Beecher
By Sam Minton
The Boston Bruins first-round pick has shown that he has a ton of talent and could perform very well in the NHL.
As of late, the Boston Bruins have done pretty well in the draft. It looks like the team has struck gold once again.
The Bruins drafted John Beecher in the first round of the 2019 NHL draft. Beecher has grown through the United States development team. He appeared on the U-18 team this year and tallied 15 goals and 28 assists.

At the 2019 World Juniors Summer Showcase, Beecher has been lighting it up. In two games he managed to score 3 goals and 4 assists.
There is a lot to be excited about when it comes to Beecher. He is a strong and physical center that is perfect for the Boston Bruins style of play. Beecher is the perfect mix of physicality and goal scoring.
Now the Bruins have a copious amount of centers. It might be a while before we see Beecher in the pros.
I think that Beecher could eventually become your 2nd line center. A line with a veteran Jake DeBrusk could be quite dangerous. These two have a lot of gas in the tank and a whole lot of talent.
David Krejci’s age may sneak up on you, but he is 33 years old. His best years are behind him and he will retire in the next few years. Krejci definitely isn’t a Zdeno Chara type that will play through his 40’s.
The Bruins will need someone to replace that 2nd line scoring and I think Beecher will be the guy. Boston has seen prospects like Jakob Forsbacka Karlsson get their shot in the NHL and fail.
So John Beecher is definitely a guy that Boston Bruins fans want to pay attention to. He has the potential to be an important part of the roster and one of your top goal scorers.
