Tom Brady is the best quarterback to ever play the game and the New England Patriots rewarded him with a new deal before the start of the season.

For someone with so much talent, you would think that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady would be the highest-paid player in the NFL. That is not the case and it still isn’t.

There is no doubt that Tom Brady is severely underpaid. In 2018, Brady signed a 2 year $30 million deal. That same year Matt Ryan signed a 5 year $150 million contract.

Brady has taken several pay cuts for the team. Sometimes the team has been able to get some players, but for most of his career, Brady has had to make do with some average wide receivers.

Well, the Patriots are finally giving Brady the raise that he deserves. On Sunday the team signed Brady to a 2-year deal worth $70 million.

This gives Brady a deal that he deserves and also opens up some cap room. New England now has an extra $5.5 million in cap space for 2019.

We were getting closer and closer to the regular season and Brady didn’t have a deal. I know he is a team player, but I think it is highly unlikely that he would have played in the preseason if a deal wasn’t agreed upon.

Now Brady and the new wide receiver group will get all the reps they need. This is especially important for rookie N’Keal Harry.

It looks like Harry will be a major part of New England’s passing game. The rookie has had a good training camp, but Harry still needs to work on his chemistry with Brady.

Next. Cameron Meredith has high-reward potential. dark

So I’m glad to see the New England Patriots give Tom Brady the contract he deserves. Hopefully, this will make Brady even more motivated to bring home another Super Bowl.
