New England Patriots: Tom Brady needs to trust his receivers
By Sam Minton
As we saw in Week 13, the New England Patriots have some passing problems. If they want to fix those they need Tom Brady to trust his wide receivers.
Well, this has been a rough few days for Patriots fans. Everyone has been talking about just how bad the New England Patriots played on Sunday night.
Now the main reason the Patriots have been struggling is due to their lack of offensive prowess. It’s been hard for Tom Brady and Co. to get anything going.

All of the blame can’t be put on Brady’s shoulders. He has made some mistakes but so has everyone on the offense.
But there is one thing that I think Tom Brady needs to work on. He needs to start trusting his receivers.
We all know how hard it is to gain Brady’s trust. If a rookie runs one route wrong Brady will act like he doesn’t exist.
When watching Brady you can see that he has his favorites. This season he has relied way too much on Julian Edelman.
Now this won’t be easy for Brady. This is how he has acted his entire career.
Also, New England’s batch of wide receivers isn’t the greatest. After Julian Edelman, there is quite the dropoff.
But if Tom Brady actually starts trusting guys like Phillip Dorsett, Mohamed Sanu, and N’Keal Harry maybe they will play better. It’s not like these guys are terrible receivers.
If New England wants to be successful the offense needs to figure something out. The running game definitely won’t be changing so the passing game needs to lead the way. This has been the way of the New England Patriots for most of their dominant run.
So if the New England Patriots want to make it back to the Super Bowl they need Tom Brady to start trusting his receivers.
