Boston Bruins will get a chance to win Stanley Cup
By Sam Minton
For the first time, NHL fans will be happy to hear Gary Bettman’s voice as he proclaimed that hockey will be back at some point and that means the Boston Bruins will have a chance to win the Stanley Cup.
We all miss sports, but out of all the teams in Boston, there is one team that this really effects. The Boston Bruins received the biggest gut punch as sports were put on pause.
The Boston Bruins were rolling this season. They were far and away the best team in the NHL. At times it looked like no one could defeat this team.

Also, you had David Pastrnak having a career year. In 70 games Pastrnak had 48 goals and 47 assists. There was a real chance that he took home the Hart Trophy.
But most importantly the Bruins seemed to have all the makings of a Stanley Cup winning team. After the disappointment of Game 7 in 2019 the Bruins seemed like they were going to get revenge.
In a world full of bad news, we finally got some good. NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman seems determined to finish the season and award the Stanley Cup even saying that he isn’t even contemplating not handing out the Cup.
"“We would like to bring a conclusion to this season,” Bettman said. “It’s got to be fair, it’s got to have integrity, and if we have to do it over the summer on some modified basis, then we’ll do it on that basis.”"
Well, now I feel a lot better. At least the Bruins will have a chance to play and win the Stanley Cup.
The only bad thing is that the Bruins will be at a disadvantage. As an older team, it might take them longer to knock off the rust compared to a younger team.
But once they get going the Bruins will be favorites to win the Stanley Cup. They just have too good of a roster. It seemed like Boston finally had the perfect line setup and then all of a sudden the season was put on pause.
Hockey will be back enough and hopefully the Boston Bruins will be the ones lifting the Stanley Cup at the end of the season.
