New England Patriots: Why fans actually hate Travis Kelce

Travis Kelce seems to know why New England Patriots fans hate him but he couldn’t be farther from the truth.

Patriots fans don’t hate a lot of people. Most of the time we are just focused on how great of a team we have, but occasionally some players are so annoying that all New England Patriots fans draw their hatred towards them. Travis Kelce is one of those guys.

Before I get into just how annoying Kelce is, I will admit he is a talented tight end. Last season with Rob Gronkowski retired he was one of the best in the NFL.

But Travis Kelce is possibly the most annoying player in the NFL. One of the words that immediately comes to mind when you think of Kelce is cringe.

One moment sticks out. I remember hearing the audio of this moment and chills going through my body.

After the Super Bowl, Kelce was excited to say the least. In an interview, he couldn’t hold back his idiocy channeling his inner Beastie Boys and singing “you gotta fight, for your right, to Lombardi.” I’m getting secondhand embarrassment just typing that.

Kelce has his own reasons for why Patriots fans hate him.

"“the Pats fans, for whatever reason, just hating me for being a white tight end wearing 87.”"

Well, I am confident race has nothing to do with it, but also the main reason Patriots fans dislike Kelce has nothing to do with the No.87. It’s so clear that Kelce is trying to be a Gronk Jr. but that’s not why we hate him.

Kelce is a cocky player who has only recently tasted true success. Even then I think without Patrick Mahomes, Kelce and the Chiefs wouldn’t have a Super Bowl. Kelce probably thinks he is the greatest player in the NFL and that couldn’t be farther from the truth.

Without Patrick Mahomes, Kelce is just an average player on an average team. Mahomes saved Kelce from a career filled with mediocrity.

So Patriots fans might hate Travis Kelce, but it’s not for the reasons he thinks.
