Boston Bruins: Jake DeBrusk could go off in playoffs
By Sam Minton
Playing on the 2nd line, Boston Bruins winger Jake DeBrusk could have a great performance in the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Interesting times can sometimes bring out the best in a player. With the Boston Bruins season yet to restart there is one player that has the potential to help carry the team to a Stanley Cup.
Now you might be thinking that I’m going to talk about David Pastrnak, Brad Marchand or Patrice Bergeron, nope. Torey Krug or Charlie McAvoy? Sorry, wrong answer.

A player to watch during the playoffs will be Jake DeBrusk. He has the potential to go off.
DeBrusk had a rather good season for the Bruins. In 65 games he had 19 goals and 16 assists.
When DeBrusk is hot it’s hard to stop him. Sometimes out of nowhere he can go on a tear. The Bruins are hoping he can do that when play resumes.
Boston will likely need DeBrusk to get his legs under him immediately. It will be hard for veterans like Zdeno Chara, Bergeron, and David Krejci to all of a sudden turn it up to 100 percent after sitting at home for so long.
The Bruins will likely rely on their young studs including DeBrusk. Hopefully, they are up for the challenge.
Boston seemed to have a great chance to win the Stanley Cup. They were far and away the best team in the NHL prior to the season being suspended. Fans are just hoping they didn’t lose any of the momentum they had.
Bruins fans are itching for hockey to be back. Especially because now it’s time for the playoffs. Playoff hockey is one of the greatest things in all of sports. Even better is being able to watch your team lift the Stanley Cup. If all goes to plan, the Bruins will be doing that at the end of the Stanley Cup Finals.
